The Manuscript Book is a recurring collaboration between Alma Screenwriting Education and Brobygrafiska. Each year, students from Brobygrafiska design a book based on texts written by students from Alma Education. This year’s edition is titled Inspirationsprocesser (Inspiration Processes).

The task was to create a cohesive structure for the collected works and develop a graphic style that not only ties the content together but also reflects the variety of topics covered. Together with Ida Leung, we designed a visual concept that was inspired by the journey of the writing process. By establishing a clear layout and structure for the texts, we balanced a simplistic and minimalistic base and added hand drawn scribbles and doodles—creating an expressive artistic aesthetic that runs throughout the entire book.

Beyond the graphic design, we also selected materials, printed the book, and hand-stitched it ourselves as well as photographed the book.
